Why do translations in certain languages cost more than others?

Because we mainly work with freelance translators, the price per word depends largely on supply and demand. There are significantly more translators who work in language combinations such as English to Spanish, than in for example Dutch - Icelandic.

Fortunately, this means that languages with the largest potential target market are also the cheapest.
